MOT Testing & Servicing

Keeping motorists safe and mobile

To make sure your vehicle is roadworthy you must have it tested once every 12 months.

The MOT test (Ministry of Transport, or simply MOT) is an annual test of vehicle safety, roadworthiness aspects and exhaust emissions required in Great Britain for most vehicles over three years old used on any way defined as a road in the Road Traffic Act 1988; it does not apply only to highways (or in Scotland a relevant road) but includes other places available for public use, which are not highways.

Without an neccessary MOT test and pass certificate, you will find it difficult to purchase your car road tax and purchase car insurance. Also, you know your car is fit to be driven or 'roadworthy' and it is running well and so, producing exhaust emissions within the allowed limits.

If there are issues found on the test, we can carry out the neccessary remedial work after discussing and agreeing cost with you and on completion, we can re-present your vehicle for retest, where it should achieve a pass.

It makes sense to keep your vehicle well maintained by making sure you book your interim and annual service, so we can aim to keep your car problem free and running well. That way, your car should not have any major isuues when it comes to your Annual MOT test. We know running a vehicle and keeping it on the road is expensive, but we try to save you money in the long run by regular checks and remedial work before things become a bigger problem and create a bigger bill.

Did you know, we have an computerised system, which keeps all of your customer records, logs everything we do and reminds you, by pos,t that your next service and MOT is due, so all you have to do, is call us on 01473 740750 and book in at a time and date convenient to you. If you are booking ahead, we can even provide you with an courtesy car to keep you mobile.
